SELIN MURAT

Producer, Parabola Films

Co-founder of Parabola Films, Selin Murat has spent the past decade working in film and television in Canada, producing award-winning documentaries for audiences at international film festivals, in cinemas, for broadcast, and community outreach. Projects she has produced include Nuestro Monte Luna (Hot Docs 2015), A City Is an Island (CPH:Dox 2014), Ariel (IDFA 2013) and À St-Henri le 26 août. Selin splits her time between Istanbul and Montreal, developing European market co-productions and documentary community building initiatives. Active member of the FCTMN, Selin is also on the board of Spectrum Productions.

BRUNO DEQUEN

Director of programming – RIDM

Bruno Dequen has been the director of programming of RIDM (Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal) since 2015, after working there as a programmer since 2011. He is also editor-in-chief of the film magazine 24images. From 2007 to 2015, he has also worked as a film teacher and an associate producer for documentary series.

AUDE LEROUX-LÉVESQUE

Independent documentary filmmaker

Aude Leroux-Lévesque is a documentary filmmaker. Her first documentary, Call me Salma,followed a teenage transsexual in urban Bangladesh. It was aired on Arte and played in various international film festivals. She is also a collaborator of the online documentary platform Spicee.com and produces and directs various projects for organisations and institutions. Her most recent film, Living with Giants, portrays the life of a young Inuit. It won the Emerging Canadian Filmmaker Award at this year’s Hot Docs and Best Canadian Documentary at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

ANDRÉ PICARD

Executive Director of Institutional Programming and Production at the National Film Board of Canada

Prior to working with the NFB, Picard has held executive positions at Just For Laughs, the Société des Arts Technologiques, and the IMAX Corporation. During his time at IMAX, he was the executive producer of “Fires of Kuwait”, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. Picard is also chair of the Board of the Fantasia International Film Festival, the Board of M for Montreal music festival, and sits on the Wapikoni Mobile Board of Governors.
